INCLUSIVE STRATEGY
The Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Champions Network is committed to building an inclusive, accessible, and culturally sensitive approach to domestic abuse awareness and response.
We recognise that domestic abuse affects people of all backgrounds, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religious or faith beliefs, education, or sexual orientation.
Barriers to seeking help are often greater for minoritised communities, disabled individuals, LGBTQ+ people, older adults, and those with insecure immigration status.
By putting inclusivity at the heart of the network, we aim to ensure every person in Northamptonshire can access help, be heard, and be safe, regardless of their identity or circumstances.
WHO CAN JOIN THE NETWORK ?
Becoming a Domestic Abuse Champion is a personal and voluntary decision.
While support from the organisation you work with would be helpful, participation as a domestic abuse champion is not dependent on your current role or the organisation you work with.
The virtual 'Lunch & Learn' sessions are 1-Hour long info session about the network, member responsibilities, training available and opportunity to ask related questions.
Completing and submitting the opt-in form signify that you are willing to join the Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Champions Network.
Training will only be provided to those who have consented to joining the network.
